What causes odometer faults?
Over the years we have seen Mileage clusters and digital speedometers develop problems as a result of electrical faults, flat batteries, fuse removal or even giving a jump
start. Odometer readings can sometimes become corrupt or even reset to zero. We can correct the mileage of any vehicle.
The Legal Side
Odometer corrections are not illegal but it is an offence to sell your vehicle without disclosing the correction to the new owner. Why resister your bmw battery?
On most BMW vehicles after fitting a new battery it is necessary to reister it to the vehicle's elctrical and charging system.ttery change. If Not,the data stored in the power management will not be reset. The battery quality will then correspond to olde battery. The value for the battery quality will then be insufficient for the battery installed. The battery charge state may then be misinterpreted and unnecessary Check-Control messages may appear or fault memory entries may be stored (e.g. the Check-Control message "Recharge battery" even though the battery fitted is new and fully charged). It can reduce function of car accessories like electric window and seats when the ingine is not running as the system thinks the battery voltage is low. It can also lead to misdisgnosis if a fault should occur in the vehicle's engine amangement or electrical circuit.

Therefore unlike others we are capable of offering a ECU Remapping service eunique to your car.This is done through your vehicle's OBD II socket. We have spent years developing and testing our own tuning files.
Petrol (Naturally Aspirated)
Remapping a petrol engine ECU will produce 10 - 15% BHP depending on exact specification, the engine will also be more responsive on initial acceleration and produce more torque (up to 20%) through out the entire rev range, giving more response on lighter throttle.
Petrol (Turbo)
Remapping a petrol turbo engine ECU will produce 20 - 30% BHP depending on exact specification, the engine will be significantly more responsive with power coming in immediately relative to throttle input with no lagging at higher revs. This large increase in power & torque gives far more flexibility in all gears reducing the need to change down unnecessarily to overtake safely and quickly.
Diesel (Turbo)
Remapping a diesel turbo engine ECU will produce 30 - 50% BHP and 60 - 75% torque depending on exact specification, diesel engines give the most impressive power and torque gains available. Extra power is gained through out the entire rev range and under all load conditions, the turning force gained from these engines is immense.
